Workshop Descriptions & Speakers

Conflict Resolution – Representatives from Accord will offer tools and strategies for resolving and de-escalating conflict with patrons and co-workers.

Collection Development: Policy & Practice – Megan Biddle, 4CLS Collection Services Manager, will discuss several aspects of collection development, including the importance of policy and the practical maintenance of collections.

Connecting the Dots: Community Library Collaborations – Tom Vitale, Director of Patterson Library.  Community connections within and outside of the library’s walls are crucial in today’s sharing economy.  Tom will discuss ways to identify potential partners and forge constructive relationships with your community.

Favorite Reads & Lightening Round –Each attendee will get the opportunity to share a favorite read of 2018 and speak about something good that happened at the library recently. Share some good news & good books!

Lunch will include a vegetarian option.  Please indicate dietary restrictions on the registration form
