The minimum standards require that public libraries have a “community-based, board approved, written long range plan of service developed by the board of trustees and staff”

A well-developed long range strategic plan can help keep the library in tune with the community and positioned for success.

9:30 – 10:00 – Coffee & Registration

10:00 – 10:45 – Welcome and Overview

10:45 – 12:15 – Using Census Data to Learn About Your Community,  with David Kraiker, US Census Bureau    

12:15 – 1:00 – Lunch (provided)

1:00 – 1:45 – Beyond Surveys: Getting Community Input

2:00 – 3:00 – Putting It All Together
