Sessions & Speakers:
Legal Issues for Libraries – Jared Mack, from the law firm of Levene, Gouldin, & Thompson will discuss several legal issues that libraries and non-profits face, with time at the end for some Q & A.
Right Sizing Your Collection – Megan Biddle, Collection Services Manager at 4CLS, will discuss collection management with an emphasis on adjusting your collection to fit and support the use of your patrons.
Managing Volunteers – Linda Shea and Roz Conner from Sidney Memorial Library will join Kenneth Roman from George F. Johnson Memorial Library (Endicott) to discuss their efforts to effectively recruit, manage, and direct the activities of volunteers in their libraries.
Social Media in Libraries – A panel discussion on the use of social media in libraries. The session will include tips & tricks from libraries inside and outside 4CLS. Speakers to be announced.
Lightening Round – An idea so good it was stolen from another conference! Each library present will get three minutes to speak about something good that happened at their library recently.
