Overview of the NYS Talking Book & Braille Library

RESCHEDULED! Join us next Friday, July 31 at 10 AM for an overview of the New York State Talking Book & Braille Library.

Librarian Jane Bentley will also explain how public libraries play an important role in connecting eligible community members to audio and braille materials.

The New York State Talking Book and Braille Library (TBBL) is a free library service for eligible residents of upstate New York who are unable to use standard print materials due to a visual or physical disability. Materials are mailed to and from library patrons at their homes at no charge. Currently, over 15,000 New Yorkers of all ages are registered for TBBL services.

This is an excellent way for New Yorkers with vision issues to get access to reading materials.  They now have a collection of titles that can be downloaded too!
